The CFO Roundtable is providing a forum for participants to exchange experience and knowledge around the important topic of Employee Fraud. We will be hearing from a panel of experts: · Darren Donovan, Forensic Accountant, KPMG · Shan Nair, Co-Founder, Nair & Co. · Nicholas Theodorou , Partner, Foley Hoag Learning Objectives After attending the course, participants should: · Know the warning signs to look for if you suspect fraudulent behavior from an employee · Learn from a discussion of examples of fraud experiences · Understand what you should do when fraud is discovered within your firm · Learn a variety of ways to prevent fraud at your firm Program Content One of the most important responsibilities of any CFO is to minimize corporate fraud. This includes understanding the opportunities for fraud, creating control systems to minimize those opportunities and continuous monitoring to identify and react to issues when they arise. Finance is responsible for controlling and safeguarding the company's cash and other assets. It is also responsible for accurately reporting the results of the company's performance. This forum will provide a practical forum to educate CFO's about their responsibilities and help them to improve the performance of their organization. Participants will experience an interactive discussion of the issue of Employee Fraud with a distinguished panel of professionals. The panelist from KPMG will start out with a brief powerpoint presentation to highlight some of the most common types of employee fraud committed during difficult economic conditions. The moderator will have a list of questions to pose to the panelists to facilitate dialogue. Every participant is encouraged to share personal experience on the subject and to ask questions to learn more about the subject. Panelists Nicholas C.
